Welcome!

Hi! Welcome to my private practice! There are no trite gimmicks or inspirational quotes to draw you in here, just an honest helper. I want to create a space that feels safe and welcoming, since the process of initiating therapy and engaging in treatment can be intimidating and vulnerable. In my reflections on the values important to my practice, I realized that my main priority is simple. It is providing quality clinical care to my clients and offering something real and beneficial. Our world is full of division, unrest, and unexpected change and loss, so I envision my work as trying to create a positive "ripple effect" in the world and helping my clients do the same (both in their internal world, and in the external one). 


Interpersonally, you'll find me to be casual, but professional. I know how to use humor to process uncomfortable feelings and there is laughter in my sessions (there are also tears). I see myself as part of my client's "team", always trying to come from a point of view centered on what is best for them. I'm corny and say classic therapist things like "How does that make you feel?". But only because I really do want to know how it makes you feel. I always give my best effort and hope you'll find me to be intentional and transparent. I use the words "reframe", "recharge", and "rad" more than anyone you know. I genuinely care about my clients and their well-being. 


So, if I sound like a good fit for you, let me help empower you to make healthy changes in the present that lead to more fulfillment, growth, and healthier relationships. If not, I understand and I want to encourage you to find a clinician that is a good fit. It's one of the most important aspects of therapy, yet isn't talked about enough.
